The Characters we become...

The Characters we become...

Several years ago, well maybe a few years even before that there was a move, Bronco Billy, staring Clint Eastwood that was about a group of circus people that started their own Wild West Show and took on their character quite literally.
It was probably one of the most influential movies for myself being a psychology major at the time because it portrayed the characters as being real and genuine even to the point of being their character in real life.  I thought that was fascinating that a person would be willing to go to that extreme.
In the movie when not doing their shows they would visit mental health facilities and do things for the patients in support of their situations and behaviors seen as sick by the public, when in turn they were the same but respected and seen as sane.
I bring this up as a point in fact that maybe in today's world we need to get back to being our character in life as real and genuine and not someone who cannot see the beauty in another regardless of their view but rather their values and gratitude they exemplify.
I for one will always be a 'Bronco Billy' willing to live my life as I see it and accept the 'characters' that ride along side....
