In the eyes of the beholder...

We all have a chance to make it and be successful to ourselves and those around us, and people will say good job, well done, I'm proud of you.  How often does that really happen and to how many people?  I venture that there are plenty of people out there that are trying their best with less than notable results and a pat on the back; or is that correct?  I maintain that people are successful in so many other ways than what is acceptable to others.  I say maybe in ways you don't see or hear about or according to a scale other than your view of success.

One example is a person down on their luck and focused on recovery and sustainability but no results that look promising.  Those that offered help, see no results and pull back and withdraw support.  Now who is the one growing and who is the one that has the wrong scale that they measure from.  The continual drive to 'get back' is in itself success and the means to encourage that person forward day after day even with no sight of light at the end of the tunnel.

How narrow minded are you?  How small is your tunnel vision?  What is your character made of?
