Fly Fishing

Well the fly fishing here in Northern Colorado is at it's best these days.  I have been spending time up on the North Platte in North Park and catching record size fish for me.  The hatches have been amazing with the sizes covering the length of the river as far as you can see.  Caking my arms and shirt thick with adult Callibaetis.  I am usually there well before light and do a little night fishing and always on water just as the day breaks.  The colors, the lighting, the river, the fish are all part of a wonderland of enjoyment. What is even more to the day is watching your casting improve and the art of casting reaching higher levels of excellence.  Sometimes I just like to cast to the point of not even fishing.  It is the best and the cost is gas.  I forget about food and peeing and just get into everything around me.  Where else can you escape the world and politics and the economy and all the bad on the news.  It's good for the soul.
